Winding Ropes was founded by Pablo, after learning this methodology from David Weck, back in 2018, visiting the WeckMethod Lab for 2 weeks in 2019, where he could finally understand the nuances, to make it easier to learn and to teach, without using too many words or a complicated language.

Our Vision is to keep progressing the game forever, keeping it challenging and flow triggering.

We want to bring heavier ropes and heavier toys, we want to be as strong and fluid as possible, we want to be big cats and move those heavy things as fast as possible, while keeping it sustainable, smart and responsible.

In 2019 we came up with the Pararope, the world’s biggest Monkey fist Knot and the fastest mace you will ever train with.

 Our Story

 In 2018, I found out about David Weck, and RTM rope Training, Rotational movement Training, as he calls it.

This is what I was looking for, I started thinking about rotations and I didn’t know how to approach it, coming from a powerlifter approach to training, until I knew about David Weck, he made it easy and the entry level was rope flow.

I went crazy when I watched the videos and tried to learn the four basic patterns. My brain went crazy and I had to talk to myself, a lot, to understand what I was doing, and to instruct me to do what I had to do. It was fascinating, fun and addictive.

The first thing I thought was…. this novelty, it should not end, how can we keep this forever? I knew it was about heavy ropes, and I knew I had to try a battle rope.

Battle ropes are stiff and don’t feel the same as the RMT rope, so I kept looking and learning about ropes until I found the source of the best heavy ropes to flow.

Then I had to figure out how to make handles that were like the regular rope ones, they needed to be stiff and heavy enough to be a counterweight in your hands to find balance.

We tried some setups and have been perfecting the way we do it through time, with our people really happy on how it feels.
